Cutting edge Inkscape

Posted by Bimsan on Tuesday, May 18, 2010

Have made a template to know where I can place the items I want to cut directly from Inkscape with Silhouette / Craft Robo (has a video on how to cut out here ). The model is designed for portrait A4. This marker is on a separate locked storage so I do not happen to change it when I myfflar in Inkscape. Thought someone else might have use for it. The file can be found here .

Do you want this template to always open when you open a new document should be positioned (replace existing) in C: \ Program Files \ Inkscape \ share \ templates (or program depending on which Windows you have). Do not want to change the existing order placed within easy reach such as the on the desktop and open it when you start a new project.

Paper Thickness of Silhouette and CraftRobo

Posted by Bimsan on Sunday, July 12, 2009

Quickutz has made an addition to paper thickness in gsm instead of lbs. You will find the Appendix here .

When you install and run it, you get the following box where you select GSM (UK)

install

Then you make two lists, one with no installed paper thicknesses and one of those installed. Here's how it looked at me.

start

And after I cleaned, I have these, then only paper I know - yay!

Silhouette CraftRobo and use the same software, so even if the file is from Quikutz it works great with CraftRobo.

Paper thickness you already have will not go away!

Posted by Bimsan on Friday, March 13, 2009

To make its own carrier sheet with the grid for the remnants.

Download Carrier Sheet (196)

You will need:

  • 2 A4 card stock (160-200 gsm)
  • A4 laminating pocket (and of course a laminator)
  • Xyron tape for Workstation with removable adhesive (removable adhesive spray or wide two-way Glue (Zig) works of course)
  • Removable tape

Check the following settings in RoboMaster:

File / Document Settings / Use Registration Marks to be bent
File / Output Setting / Print Cut Lines should be bent
Edit / Grid Settings / Grid Spacing shall be 10mm

This is consistent with it may want to check out.

  • Print page and you now have a copy of the screen, with grid, on paper.
  • Laminating a blank paper
  • Glue the printed sheet of what you are laminated
  • Tape the edges where the rollers will go with the removable tape
  • Run the whole package of Xyron or spaya with removable adhesive
  • Remove the removable tape
  • Dutta, eg kökshanduk one if it appears to the sticky

Voila, the world's best Carrier Sheet, where you can place small pieces of paper exactly.

Here's my out (accidentally put it upside down on nystämplat :) ) That would be done for istf inches. metrics.

Emboss the Cuttlebug

Posted by Bimsan on Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Discovered today that my recipe of how to use Fiskars pattern tiles in CB accidentally lost when I switched blog. Here's the recipe again (new and improved recipes) and some other recipes I use. If you spray CS / paper with water footprint is even better. I use a mini mister, then becomes moderately moist.

How do you make your own embossingplattor with cut-out / cut motifs can be found here .

Please leave a little comment if you think my tips are useful.

Bundled text Robo Master

Posted by Bimsan on Sunday, January 4, 2009

The Robo Master 5.1 is now an opportunity for coherent text. Available for download at CRAFT robo.fr (an English version). In addition to coherent text can eg do "scalloped" forms.

It is not backward compatible to install it in another library if you want to share your files. Or if you have a Silhouette and wants to keep the "My Library" (QKView can be opened separately so you can access your files you have there also in 5.1) So here it looks to me:

Another option is to download the GSD Converter (53) by Brian at Graphtec GB have done. Converts from version 5-4 (I have tried to open the converted file in the 1.5 version 4.54 and it worked without any problems).

Making coherent text is then easy to do:

Enter text as usual.

You then insert lines between the letters.

Highlight the text and press the button Weld Shapes in the upper right corner

Voila!
